I have been sewing since I was a little girl. My mother taught me to sew with vintage Burda & Simplicity patterns which we would manipulate and make new designs with. BurdaStyle is the perfect match for me.

Oh! i was so upset when you left Project Runway...you were one of my favourites. I loved your t-shirts I think you are very talented. I still haven't started sewing much, but I'll get to it soon, when I have some time, I really feel inspired by your work and I think this project is amazing.

salutations! i really appreciate your response to my post. i couldn't believe it was you..bet its weird being recognized by complete strangers haha. just know you inspire all us trying-to-Be's to give our all. i know if i keep up the practice and persistence i'll be who i aspire to be I've improved so much already it freaks me out, lol. i think its great you've joined burdastyle.com, i really love this site and all the people and all their creativity, i see everyone on here as sort of (for a lack of a perfect word) my mentors, you fit right in there. have a dreamy day. Alison, I saw you yesterday on Project Runway?! Right? Awesome having you here, I really love your dresses form the wholesale collection. I also crochet and knit and combine that with sewing, your dresses are such an inspiration!

Hey there, I am new here. I love your designs and the photography. Do you have a website? I would love to see more of your creations. I was a seamstress for a major dept. store for 8 years.
