Sewing for Christmas
Views 928
I started hand sewing at a very young age..making doll clothes. My grandmother taught me to embroider and knit..I taught myself and my Grandmother to crochet. Fair trade. I should also mention my Great Grandmother Stella made the finest little hand stiches I've seen in my life. She was a master quilter (if there is that title, she deserved it). When I was tall enough to reach the pedal my mother let me use her (brand new at the time), Singer Golden Touch and Sew. I loved that machine and it was even mine for awhile, it died... : ( I stopped sewing for awhile as my son grew older (wouldn't wear homemade clothes anymore. : ^ ( Now I have a 3 year old granddaughter which brought me back to the sewing world and hopefully my skills will return. I really love this site as it inspires me daily to try something new and different. Thanks Burda Syle and all you creative and talented members.
