To answer our curiosity...here's how I altered the faboulus franzi pattern into a dress.

prepare the franzi pattern-back side,cut to ur size. draw a straight line (green line on the pic). cut away...

the back side become like this....(right side on the pic)

draw two lines on the front side (green line on the pic). for the side line is 3,5cm from the edge, right in the middle of buttons mark. Cut them off...

the front side turn into like this... PUT THIS ON FOLD. Need an adjustment to keep the shape intact. dont forget to put 1,5cm seam allowance on the TOP edge both back and front pattern pieces.

there you are all the complete pieces. from lef to right: BACK, back side, FRONT, front side. lengthen all as u wish. for the side pieces, I leave them as they are just lengthen.

ow.. the seam allowance on the TOP EDGE meant so you can attach the facing there. just to refresh your mind here's the pic of making your own facing. copy the shape of each pieces, lengthen them around 5-10cm as u wish. gather them all together so later attach them on the TOP EDGE of the dress. top stiching if u want but mine, I use "stitch in the ditch" technique. that way the dress is free stitch on surface. give a neat finishing.
