  Step 1 of 8

  I used a standard sized (flannel) pillow case.

  Then, I folded it in half lengthwise. Since the pillowcase was slimmer than the pattern, I just centered the handle. I used the doubled up (open) edge of the pillow case as the bottom but you could easily used the closed edge.

  Then I cut out the pattern and laid it flat...hmmm looks like it could be a charlie tank top at this step!

  If you use the open end of the pillow case, put the right sides together and sew across the bottom to close it up.

  Step 5 of 8

  I used single fold bias tape all around the raw eges of the bag and handles.
  To go around corners, without stopping, put the needle down into the fabric, lift the foot and turn your fabric, then fold around the corner, put the foot back down and keep sewing!

  Step 6 of 8

  Then, sew the handles wrong side together, since the edges have bias tape, you can fold open the seam and sew zig zag right down the middle. I did this to give the handle seam extra strength and a little cute design.

  Then, you can fold the handle seams together in the middle and sew across one more time to make it easy to hold on to.

  Finally your bag is done! I used the extra bias tape and made a little flower with a button in the middle!
