Sew the Pete T-Shirt (2931 Views)

These are instructions for sewing the Pete Shirt with a serger. If you dont have a serger, you can refer to the instructions for the Lydia pattern, and How To Finish Seam Edges without a Serger. For either kind of machine, you should look at How To Sew A Rib Knit for the neckline.

We sized these shirts S/M/L/XL, which doesn?t correspond to our mens size chart. Here is the sizing for this particular garment:

Sizing:

Small fits 34-36 inch Chest, 30-32 inch Waist

Medium fits 38-40 inch Chest, 32-33 inch Waist

Large fits 42-44 inch Chest, 33-34 inch Waist

XL fits 46-48 inch Chest, 36-38 inch Waist

    Serge the shoulder seams at 5/8 inch. Serge the sleeve hems.

    Enjoyed the tutorial. But how did you do the applique portion of the shirt? I like the seagull pattern. Can you offer that somehow? Thanks!
