  Step 1 of 8

  To start, pick your fabric, if it has flower shapes find the flower you want and cut it out, eyeing your seam allowance.

  Pick another fabric for the under side of the pillow, preferably something lighter weight, a medium weight fusible interfacing will work as well.

• 

  Step 3 of 8

  Cut the underside fabric to match your flower shape. Pin right sides together.

• 

  Step 4 of 8

  Trim your edges down very close to the seam, leaving enough room so your seams don’t come out. This allows for nice smooth edges when you’ve flipped your pillow inside out.

  Step 5 of 8

  Flip your pillow inside out. Use your finger to poke out your petal shapes and smooth all of your edges.

  Step 6 of 8

  Iron your flower shape tucking in your open edge for hand sewing.

  Step 7 of 8

  Stitch your pillow closed using a blind stitch, so you don’t see it. You can also topstitch your shape, if you want, for added decoration.

  Step 8 of 8

  Your flower pillow is done. You can now sew your shape onto your garment, either by hand or on your sewing machine.
