  Step 1 of 12

  2.Make a buttonhole in the cover piece, at ¾” from the top seam allowance, place it in the center. This is for the ribbon. To be sure of the size of it, check the width of your ribbon, mine has 3/8”.

  1.Cut two pieces of fabric, each one of 17 ¼” by 4 ¼”. These measures include the ¼” seam allowance.

  4.Turn inside out only the lining and insert it into the cover.

  3.Fold in half the cover and the lining, right sides facing, and then sew the sides of each piece.

  Step 5 of 12

  5.Now you have the lining’s right side facing the cover’s right side.

  Step 6 of 12

  6.Sew both pieces together all the way around, leaving 1”to 2”open.

  Step 7 of 12

  7.Turn inside out the cover and the lining through the hole.

  8.Insert the lining into the cover, make sure the lining does not creep out and become visible.

  9.FIRST, excuse my Horrible & awful buttonhole, I had some problems with my sewing machine… anyway…. (1) Edge stitch the top all the way around, make sure you sew the part that still open. (2) Now sew all the way around ABOVE the buttonhole. (3) Repeat the same but this time UNDER the buttonhole. Finally insert the ribbon with the help of a safety pin.

  10.Insert the ends of the ribbon into a bead, and tie a knot.

  11.Now your ready to store your nice sunglasses in a pretty bag made by you.
