Take a Screenshot on a Mac (1912 Views)

For some creations, patterns, and especially How Tos, it is good to know how to take a Screen Shot. On most Macs, there is an application that makes it super easy!

    Open Applications in the Finder, then the Utilities folder, and choose the application called Grab.

    Alternately, you can press command+shift+3 for a screen shot. If you press command+shift+4 a crosshair will come up and you can crop any part of the screen. The file shows up on your desktop.
