Make Long Bias Straps (6447 Views)

Step 1 of 3
For the thin round straps a pretty long piece of bias tape is needed. It can also be cut out of your own fabric, but sometimes your own pieces are too short. Adding them together is quick and easy if done the right way.
Simply follow these steps:
1. Place the tapes one over another, at a 90 degree angle, right sides together.
2. Cut at a 45 degree angle.

- Unfold and you get a straight piece of fabric to work with.
The bias tape is the folded in two, seamed mode closely to the folded edge and turned inside out. See related how to.

Aaaa thanks! :( This works for me and is also the way Burda explains it in their magazine. If there is a "correct" way to sew this I'd like to know, please advice.
