Make a Mitered Hem (4814 Views)

A mitered hem is sometimes a tough job. Evening folding the hem and the seam of a slit, for example, or the corners of a tablecloth, can be difficult, especially when trying to create a very sharp corner. Follow the instructions in this how to for a better mitered hem!

    Step 1 of 4

    From the wrong side of the garment, turn up the hem allowance and the seam allowance as illustrated above. The right sides should be facing. Sew to the corner, in the direction as shown by the arrow above.
