Step 1 of 2
To make a pattern to your size, you need to take your measurements first. You will need you waist size, hip size and the distance between those two (it's often about 20 cm, but this can be different, depending on your height and the shape of your hips)

Step 2 of 2
This is what your basic pattern piece will look like. You can use any number of gores you like (with a minimum of 4). Divide your waist measurement by the number of gores you want, and make line A at that length (if you want a hipster fit, start like this anyway, and just take a bit off at the top of your pattern later). Draw line C straight down from the middle of line A, the length of this line is the distance between your waist and hip. Now, divide your hip measurement through the number of gores and draw line B parallel to line A (at this point it's very important to have straight angle between your lines, use a triangle ruler or measure the distance between the horizontal lines at several points). The rest is now up to you: the length and amount of flare you choose will determine the style of your skirt. Just keep in mind that the line under line C and the sides have to be the same length, so the hem curves up to the sides.
