  To prevent the neck facings from turning to the outside of the garment at inopportune times, I pinned the facings at the shoulder seams, and sewed an inch or two exactly on top of the shoulder seam line to fasten the facing in place (sometimes this is called "stitch in the ditch"). Because the seam is there, your stitching is nearly invisible!
