I did jump the gun. Very well, great how to!
great how-to, also as idea-generator: I'll put in an in-seam pocket in my Zoe-in-process, perfect for taking with me my badge & money to luch at the office.
Katrena- I didn't notice them until now, but good job! I guess not noticing them is a good thing, since they're inseam pockets! And thanks to everyone else- I'm glad this How To is helpful and easy to understand!
I'm going to try this some time!! Very good tutorial!
one question ... why did you only sew the seam allowancce at 3/8 when you drafted the pattern with a 5/8 seam allowance? or am i mistaken?
When I was little, 50 years ago, my mom always put "secret pockets" in my dresses.
The seam allowance is 5/8" so its easy to line up when placing the pocket, but sewn at 3/8" so that the pocket is pulled to the inside when finished. Its not necessary, but I think it is easier.
