Yo-yo's or Suffolk Puffs (2698 Views)

Easy as pie yo-yo's (or Suffolk Puffs). Use to embellish your clothes.

Step 1 of 4

You will need a circle of fabric and a needle and thread.
Step 2 of 4

Fold over the edge of the fabric to the wrong side. Sew through both layers with small stitches.
Step 3 of 4

Sew all the way around and pull the thread tight as you go. Tie off the thread on the underside.
Step 4 of 4

All done! Use to embellish anything you like.

finished with that project!

I saw these (yo-yo's) at the fabric store yesterday and I wondered what they were. When I read the packaging I found out! Funny how the first time I saw these, I saw them twice within 24 hours.

Are you supposed to use them ruffled side up? down? I suppose it might depend on what look you're going for!

Most use them ruffle side up but i suppose you could use them ruffle side down too.

working on Christmas presents

I made two of these the other day. It was super easy. I had seen this tutorial and the next day at the local fabric store I saw a packet of these for like $10; I'd rather make them myself. Very fun
