Pouty skirt with wide elastic waistband (8713 Views)

Pouty skirt with wide elastic waistband. I'm incredibly sorry in advance for the lack of pictures and vague instructions! This is my first how-to. I promise to provide better instructions next time!

Take your yard of fabric and fold in half horizontally. If you are taller you will need more fabric. The length of the skirt will be the fabric folded in half minus 1" lost at the top and 1/2" at the bottom for the hem. Cut the fabric in half creating two long pieces of fabric measuring - 1/2 yard X the width of the fabric.

This is so clever. It would look neat with different coloured elastic too.
