Why does no one impress the improtance of seam finishing to new sewer. You show finished edges in your pictures but you never tell in words to finish the raw edges with a surger or zig zag stitch. 80% of a garment is cuting and finishing 20% is actually stitching it up.
You're right! Thats a very important part of sewing and I should include it in my How Tos. I'll be sure to next time.
This is just what I was looking for! I'm off to make a couple of these for my vacation next week!

wow, i just finished this dress. it only took about an hour and a half. it was so easy! and the results are great. i used a pink and green plaid print, and added pockets cut on the bias. i like it! thanks a bunch for this easy how-to.
