Drawstring Jumper Dress- No Pattern Req'd (16977 Views)

This easy jumper dress takes no time at all to make- and does not require any pattern! Its an adaptation of a little girl's jumper. Follow these easy instructions and make one for yourself!

    I am a Burda size 38, or a 6 ready-to-wear. This is an easy fit and should work for sizes 34-42, but you may add or subtract a 1/4" (6mm) on each side seam if you want to change the size.



Materials

2 yards (1.82 meters) of 60" (152 cm) wide fabric (Recommended fabrics: jersey, knitslight weight cottons, gauze

Optional- Cord for straps, otherwise follow instructions here for making your own straps.

    Why does no one impress the improtance of seam finishing to new sewer. You show finished edges in your pictures but you never tell in words to finish the raw edges with a surger or zig zag stitch. 80% of a garment is cuting and finishing 20% is actually stitching it up.

    wow, i just finished this dress. it only took about an hour and a half. it was so easy! and the results are great. i used a pink and green plaid print, and added pockets cut on the bias. i like it! thanks a bunch for this easy how-to.
