    Step 1 of 16

First find two items of clothes (i used skirts) making sure there is enough fabric in them both to make the vest, and cut them open to lay them flat.

Thanks so much for the very good tutorial. I love the idea of recycling fabrics. So far, I haven't needed to search the thrift stores. Losing quite a bit of weight left me with an instant stash LOL. Hope to see more examples of recycling.

    Everyone take example!

Excellent tutorial and great work! Everyone should learn to sew like you. I agree with serging everything and then pressing all the seams. Very professional!

Thanks so much for this tutorial! The Franzi is my next project and this will help enormously! I just finished making the Ellinor because I liked your version (the brown one) of it so much. It came out really nice and my husband loves it. I like your idea of serging all the edges. Now maybe I'll use my serger more. Do you use it on very light fabrics too?
