Sewpedia

In the Sewpedia, you can find the definitions for those sewing terms you are a little iffy on. It’s a community wiki for members to upload and edit sewing terms and definitions. Seems like a great idea, right? If you haven’t figured out how to search for a specific term, add or request a term we are missing, or see all recent edits, you have come to the right place.

Create/Edit an Entry
  1. Sign into your account.

  1. Go to the Sewpedia section.

  1. Select “post entry” in the upper right hand corner of the page.

  1. Enter the term you would like to add, and its category and definition.

  1. If you choose to, you may add a photo or video by selecting either “upload image” or “upload video.” Click “browse” to locate the file on your computer.

  1. When you have completed your term select “save.”

  1. To edit any term, select the term you would like to edit and then click “edit.” Once you have made changes to the term select “save.”
Sewpedia Rules/Best Practices

This is a wiki, open to members of our site to change, add, adjust and improve entries. When you see a topic is missing information, feel free to change it: that’s the only way that the Sewpedia will grow. -Share your knowledge with everyone (do you remember when you were just starting out?) -Search for an entry before you try and add it. -Use your own words to define a topic; do not plagiarize. -Do not intentionally mislead people. -Please keep all topics related to sewing. -Nothing lewd will be tolerated.
