I am pretty new to sewing and I've been having fun recreating t-shirts and pants into skirts and blouses. I've also been enjoying fixing ready-mades. However, I am stumped on this blouse. I've scoured the internet with no luck. I might not be plugging in the magic keywords and I don't want to mess this cute blouse up. So, here I am, bringing this to the Burda divas and divos.
I bought a blouse that is slightly bigger in order to fit my chest correctly. However, the waist is too big. The blouse, for lack of knowing what style blouse it is, has a non-elastic ban at upper waist level which brings out the waist and a flared bottom portion, thus creating a more defined hourglass figure (hope that's a clear description). The upper portion is fitted. The material is 100% sheer cotton. The zipper is an invisible zipper on one side of the blouse.
Hmmm, darts. That just might work and save me a ton of headache. I'm still new to sewing so removing the zipper, while it didn't sound too difficult, I could see myself messing it up a bit. Thanks for the advice, both of you. Anyone else have another take, please do drop a post. Thanks!!

I would remove the zipper, take it in the needed amount split equally between both sides and then reset the zipper.
Maybe you could also add some darts in the fornt or back, so you don't have remove th zipper (which could be a little bit unnerving)?

Invisible zippers can be a real bear to resew. Darts are what I would use. Cordially, Nehmah
Thank you, Nehmah. I was thinking I would really muck it up if I had to do anything to that zipper. I can't even cut fabric in a straight line. :)
