Dear Burdastyle, could you please not forget to add the requested amount of fabric in METERS. I know this is an American site, but we Europeans have the metric system. Yards and feet don't say anything to me. Thanks in advance.

studying :/
Me, too, or at least stay at one system (lately I saw something in Inch). But the metric system is in my opinion the easiest system. For those who don't know: 1 yard is about 0,9 meter and 1 inch = 2,54 cm.
I thought that until the metric system is added this could be of help. Check out the www.ottobredesign.com. Look for the free patterns. The name is: size_charts. It offers free downloadable charts in both metric and inches. The charts include measures for babies, toddlers, girls/boys and women. (No men - sorry on their behalf :{). The charts are extremely elaborate. If you could not by any chance find it - contact me and I'll send it to you as a PDF file.
Thanks Sewella for the tip, but I think the Burdastyle bunch should put the requested amount of fabric in meters on their patterns. It's a small service with a big impact. We have over 100.000 members now, I bet there are tenthousands of them that prefer meters over yards.

Oh, good idea, I'd be glad if you added it as well. I'm able to count it into meters, of course, but it gives me no idea on the first look.
I agree, this would be really helpful.
I'd be very happy with adding Metric, too!
Agreed!
please do so
Mmm, metric! hearts
