You guys should check out Wendy Mullin's new-ish book, Sew U Home Stretch. It's worth buying, as it has lots of really good useful tips and information and comes with patterns and projects suitable for stretch fabric!
Geez, I was just browsing on Amazon, looking to order some books on sewing and fashion design. I'm sure I saw this one in the list. I'll go and find it again. Thanks whimsy!
I looked up the book, whimsy - it is subtitled "Guide to Sewing Knit Fabrics". I assume things that work on knit fabrics will also work on lycra/spandex type fabrics, but I imagine there are differences too? Or do I have the wrong book?
gedwoods, lycra and spandex are knits, and I've seen this book in the stores and she goes into all the different types, I nearly bought it myself and actually now I'm thinking I WILL go back and get it, it really was very thorough.
That's very helpful info for me too EmilyKate. I struggle with knits, (well I avoid them really) so I'm off to have a look to see if it's available here. Thankyou :)
