Has anyone pieced together this pattern? The pages don’t fit with each other; the test square printed the correct size, but every other sheet printed smaller. I'm curious if anyone else has had this problem.
Oh, I got it together, but is it correct? Who knows. Fortunately, I knew how this style was made, but Heaven help the person who has not put a pattern printout together before. The middle row is missing the markers across and several of the column markers are either duplicates or not lined up. The only advice I can give you is to print off the darkest layout sheet (usually selecting "Best" will give you a readable layout.) Then very carefully, not joking here, label each sheet from first-bottom to last-top (something like row red/column diamond) but not abc-123; lay out ignoring the pattern's letter designations, with however many rows and columns the layout shows. If you have any more trouble, let me know, as I will be putting this puzzle together, later this week. Cordially, Nehmah
Thanks Nehmah, I got it together in the correct order, but several of the squares printed smaller then they should have so they don't fit with each other even though I see that they should go together. For example, the test square sheet has a pattern square of 6 by 9 ish, (the test square printed 4x4), and then the rest of the row have a pattern square of 5 x7 ish (I don't have them in front of me) and the actual pattern lines don’t line up. I'm not sure I'm explaining this to well. Anyway, let me know how it works for you and if you have any suggestions because I am so excited for these pants and have the perfect linen for them!
I thought that my eyes were getting worse when I looked at the layout. I saw what appeared to be off-set lines. Glad it wasn't my vision. The pants w/be assembled tomorrow. I'll let you know how they turn out. I don't have a camera, so I can't send an upload. Maybe I can bribe my son with some clothes for the girls(evil Granny smile here ;))
