Multiplying comments

Is there any way to correct the problem of multiplying comments? I don't know if this is caused by overzealous mouse clicking or is caused by a problem in the computer universe. These don't appear to be spam; they are real comments that appear a few or even dozens of times. I think they are a big part of the rating problem (someone accidentally rates a good pattern at 20%, then their comment goes up 20 times). It is also very frustrating to wade through several pages of the same comment in search of something new. Is there anything that can be done?

      Hi Emmastaf, I think that this is a very good point. The problem is probably right in the middle. The computer universe does not make it obvious that it already registered the command of posting a comment, therefore members tend to hit the post button several times, which then leads to multiple comments at once. We will look into optimizing this! Thanks B

      HI, I've just commented too many times on the Alison pattern for this very reason - I didn't realise the post had been made so got a bit click happy. Now I can't remove the posts as the edit link is not working. I also can't see the 2nd page of comments. Sorry!
