Currently, finding members by name is time-consuming and often difficult, unless that member is at the beginning or end of the alphabet. Why not consider breaking down the list by letter or symbol, as so many members now add non-alphabet characters to their screen names?
If the member has a creation, a pattern, or you are certain of the correct way to enter the screen name, you can locate them by running your cursor over the name until it is underlined, click on the name, and you SHOULD go right to their page. If none of the above work, look down at the bottom of this page; click on "members", then start scrolling, and scrolling, and...:(
thanks, I just tried this. It's ok, but not very practical, I agree. I would like to see a direct link to the members list, and a better way to search them or sort them.
I wanted to find a member whose location I knew and when I chose find member by location (why not having a window to type in the exact location??) and it gave me a list that wasn't in alphabetical order and I still had to scroll and find it myself.
i've just done that too, I wanted to find members by area and see if there are any others members in manchester but it started at the letter A and i clicked on page 16 and it was still on letter A and there are 1600 pages!!! so I gave up
I actually am interested in finding other men contributors to the site ... scrolling through the members list is not a very productive way to function...
Also a kind of listing by popularity might be interesting

I agree! It's really confusing now.
How do you find members anyway?
If the member has a creation, a pattern, or you are certain of the correct way to enter the screen name, you can locate them by running your cursor over the name until it is underlined, click on the name, and you SHOULD go right to their page. oh scrap that. you just said there IS a direct link, and I can see it there at the bottom. I'd still ike better search functions though!
