Hi RachelRyans! Those gloves ARE gorgeous. I collect gloves, from thrift stores… I don’t know whether we can expect a pattern from here or not…. gloves are HELLACIOUSLY hard, there are so many pieces… I just found this interesting site which might explain why glove patterns are so very hard to find!

I have to agree with EmilyKate: gloves are great and I really like the ones you show, but I think making them would be a hell of a job. I knew the glove.org website alreade, and have spent quite some time there, always coming to the conclusion that glove making would just be too fiddly a project. I tend to buy cheap gloves where-ever I find them: thrift stores, festival stalls, H&M (I may sound odd, but they often have fairly cheap gloves, although I really regret not having bought their long leather or suede gloves last autumn… but I'm also on the ‘dirt cheap kind of budget)
Have you seen these on the Burda main website (under downloads). I did a currency conversion and the cost works out about 0.78GB pounds ($US1.53). I know they're not as fitted as the ones you liked, but I think they are gorgeous as well.

PS Thanks EmilyKate and Lauriana for the link to the glove site. I just wanted to add too, that I had a go at making gloves for a space costume for my little boy a few years back. I had no info to go by and basically just traced around his hand. The fabric was a silver stretch material I got at a discount fabric store for $2/m. The first attempt was way too tight and wouldn’t even fit on his hand as I didn’t leave enough seam allowance. The second pair were wearable. I see now that the thumb has to be a separate piece — can’t remember if I did that or not. Have to dig them out and have a look as I'm sure they are still around here somewhere.
