For the next month we will be working on the Anita skinny jeans pattern. Post here to let us all know what plans you have for your version, fabric choice, alterations you may make etc. Feel free to ask questions and advice from other members.
Happy sewing!!!
hey! first thing i did this morning was to take out the fabric that i hv kept with me since i saw anita pattern!..i already had print outs.. so m all ready to begin sewing!
i ll be using cotton fabric which has edge stiching done all over it..m tring exclude pockets..cause my sewing machine has some prob and it wnt be stiching more than two layers of cotton..
I am between sizes so debating what to cut. I have compared the crocht shape with the one from my store bought jeans. They look very different! this one is more rounded and vertical. Anyone knows about crocht shapes?
Hi all! Do you think it would be possible to make these in a non-stretch material? I want to make these pants very badly but funds are VERY low and stretch denim is not the most affordable around here.
i nearly finished the anita and it is very skinny!!! i think it would be bad to use a non-strech material for this pattern. i will upload my pics tomorrow, you will see ;)!
yeap.. diana..i also used non stretch material..looks gud .. butttttttttt bad idea for fitted jeans...
i ll definatly try anita again n again with stretchable material..
Thanks for the suggestion, Diana, good idea I can apply to all my projects. Looking forward to see your pants.
Anyway, after seeing next Diana's comment I am probably better with the bigger size. I have non stretch denim too!
How are things going laydeees? Any tips to share? Problems you need help solving?? Have you finished them already? We know you have Fashion1, Miss quick as lightening! and they look fab.

I´ve got a fabric as christmas present which would be perfect to the anita jeans pattern.
here it is:
it´s a elastic jeans fabric with pink stripes. i think i will try it.

Hi, I got this fabric for the pants:
I am between sizes so debating what to cut. I have compared the crocht shape with the one from my store bought jeans. They look very different! this one is more rounded and vertical. Anyone knows about crocht shapes?
hey olar!
when you between two sizes why don´t you cut between the lines from the two sizes? i think it´s possible, but i don´t know it rightly ...
i doesn´t know anything about crocht shapes, sorry.
your fabric looks also perfect for this jeans!
happy sewing!

yes, the bigger size would be better! cause when my pants would be of a non-stretch material i couldn´t move in them ;)!
i will make some pics now.
the cutting takes a lot time, cause i want that the pinstripes go well together - and that was not so easy...
but i´m happy with the result.
