I’ve been noticing that sewing magazines tend to mention if a sewing destination has a venue with a clothing exhibit that will interest sewists.

In the August/September issue of Vogue Patterns, Kathryn Brenne’s visit included a stop at the Phoenix Art Museum (in Arizona, USA). A current exhibit that ends on August 9 features a Czech-born designer’s work. http://www.phxart.org/exhibition/patternplay
An upcoming exhibit in November will focus on Gianfranco Ferre: http://www.phxart.org/exhibition/ferrewhiteshirt

The Toronto Star newspaper had a mention of a sports clothing themed exhibit off-site from the Design Exchange that relates to the big summer games being held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada this year: http://www.thestar.com/life/fashion_style/2015/07/14/sport-and-fashion-collide-at-new-design-exchange-exhibition.html

Toronto’s Textile Museum has three current exhibitions:
