Just a comment to say there has been a noticable improvement in Burdastyle recently,

2 years ago Burdastyle was Fabulous and really community orientated.
Then a bit over a year ago there was a huge slump which I think everyone noticed.
There seamed to be no member interaction and just a full on assault of “pattern pushing” and that the only priority as to sell patterns. Also it felt like we didn’t know who was behind the scenes.

Lately with the new team there has been a nice improvment with a variation of content. Great to see competitions back and new categories.


A request.. could we have the Xmas Giveaway again this year? Everyone loves it and last year it was replaced with a lame book giveaway :(

    Hi MrsCharisma! Can you let me know what it is you’re referring to? I’m happy to help or point you in the right direction. I unfortunately don’t understand your question. Did you pay for a downloadable pattern and you’re wondering where to find it?

      I think that MrsCharisma is referring to the pdf instructions that used to be publicly available for each pattern. I noticed that they seemed to have disappeared recently too, which is unfortunate.

      It is sometimes hard to understand a pattern from just the photo and tech drawing. I have often looked at the instructions to find out more about the pattern, it was really helpful. I would like to request that the instructions be made available again. Thanks!

    Yes, they were helpful to me too. I buy the magazine in Turkey and it’s published in Turkish (naturally), and while I can now understand the Turkish instructions (better than most Turkish people, LOL), if there is something I cannot “get” in Turkish I used to download the English instructions to see if it helped. But now they are gone :(. I would like to see some kind of system on the website where subscribers to the magazine get an ID number which means they get access to more freebies, discounts, areas, etc on this website. The interest in the site might pick up again then. I guess the site is only really aimed at Americans, though, these days.

    Hey Everyone!

    A decision was made to move all the pattern instructions to the user’s pattern library after purchase instead of having them available to download on the pattern’s store page. All necessary information such as fabric and notion requirements are available on the pattern store page, along with multiple images (including technicals) and pattern difficulty ranking. If you have any additional concerns on this issue please email us through our contact page.

    Yes, we can see that decision was made. That’s what we are complaining about. You are not going to respond to this feedback in the way that we might like, and that’s your answer. I already buy the magazine so I will just have to use that on its own. Thank you for making your position clear. I won’t waste my time coming back here.
