Following a discussion in the “Blog it!” section, the idea of creating a “museum fashion watch” emerged – the idea is to post information about current museum exhibits of interest to BurdaStyle members, no matter where they occur in the world. Obviously, this will require some collaboration. Ichigogirl mentioned a current exhibit at the Nordiska Museum in Stockholm, which I was able to put up. Anyone who has other information, please let me know.
Oh, well, I put it up on the fabrics international wiki website on a Fashion Watch page – I’ve included a first effort at listing fashion, textile and costume museums in a variety of cities, and some recent films dealing with fashion issues. Again, I will need help filling these out – I can do a certain amount of research on the web, but often you need some local help to get at museum exhibits as the information is somewhat ephemeral (doesn’t hang around long).
Just post your suggestions and I’ll make sure they are ported over to the fabrics international wiki !
