but I do’nt know what fabric to use .
Do I prefer 100 % coton knit fabric (interlock) or can I use a viscose with elasthane fabric ?
Thank you for some advice.

It says stretch cotton. Look for cotton knit with 5% Lycra.

I wouldn’t use interlock for this. It’s too firm, it won’t stretch enough for a child’s tube top to be worn comfortably and I think the braiding might come out bulky without more stretch. Look for something super stretchy, like 50%, with good recovery. It must have lycra or elastane for that. 100% cotton or 100% rayon/viscose will stretch out over time and lose its shape. And for kids, I’d avoid viscose/rayon unless you know you’re paying for modal because it doesn’t always do well in the wash (it can pill badly) and kids clothes practically live in the wash! A poly/cotton/lyrca blend might be the most comfortable and sturdy.
