Is it possible to tea dye velvet? I’ve been looking for velvet with no stretch that’s high quality and olive green but I can’t anything that isn’t hunter green so maybe I could make the color just a bit warmer with tea dyeing. Does any one have any idea if that would hurt the fabric? Or if it would work at all?

It depends on your velvet. A silk.rayon mix will tea dye quite successfully, but it’ll was out of cotton.
