can i use freshly made charcoal a stick under a flame to char it up and make the lines in the fabric
it rubs off and can washout i figured might as well ask the professionals

    No, you’ll possibly stain or damage the fabric. Use a soft lead (graphite) pencil. Press lightly. Works well on light coloured fabric.
