I’m trying to find a basic pattern for a sweetheart bodice without princess seams. It is for a casual cotton summer wedding dress with spaghetti straps. I want to move the darts around to create two v-darts in center-front seamed bodice. Drafting is beyond my skill set as is changing one of the many patterns with princess seams out there. Thank you.

You could just use a Princess line bodice pattern and tape the pieces together at the bust point, keeping the bustling level. Be sure to match at the seam lines, not the cutting lines though! : )

Hi, If you have trouble drafting – why not buy 2 patterns? You could get the bodice you wanted from one pattern, and the sweetheart from another pattern and trace it on!
