I’ve been starting a new sloper using the patternmaking for fashion design 5th ed book, im using a size 4 form , but somehow I can’t get the dart correct , maybe im missing where the actual bust point is? I don’t know , everything in the pattern seems to be balanced except the front dart and the intake is incorrect, anyone else have this book? I would love some light shed on this topic :)

What is wrong with the dart? Is is the position or the size or intake. Though I haven’t used that particular draft before I usually find I have to fit the finished product on the person/form (though there are usually less problems with a form). For instance the one I use often needs more width across the back and often shoulder darts for a better fit.
If you have followed the instructions correctly and it’s just a mater of it’s not quite fitting properly then this would be good practice in doing a fitting adjustment.
Or you may find you want to use a different sloper draft.

it was just mainly finding the bust point on my dress from, i believe i found it though, i was measuring wrong, at the bust depth measurement i was measuring down from the shoulder neck down to the bust point, when i believe i should have been measuring from the shoulder corner down to the bust point :)
