I drafted a pair of panties and am curious about what I might use to finish the edges. The instructions have called for stretch elastic although I find it quite unsightly. I would like something fun and simple that may give some color even (?) I live in a tiny town in Missouri and don’t wish to wait for an order to come shipped as I am so excited to finish up. I want something pretty or bright.. Can you help me?
P.S. I really like bias tape.. Could this work although it does not stretch?
Thanks, Rhy

Normal bias tape will not work, stretch bias tape would work, but it’s more difficult than using elastic. If you have anything stretchy that would make a nice combination you could cut strips of that and use that very much like you would use bias tape. Don’t cut it on the bias though, that doesn’t work for stretchy fabrics.

You can get panty elastic from haberdasheries (online would probably be easiest). It has the little loopy things that are almost like lace along the edge; like you get on store-bought panties. Hemline makes it if you a in the UK.
