Hi Everyone,
I’m looking at some of the plus size dress patterns (particularly this one 10/2011 Plus size V-neck wrap dress #138A), and was wondering if they are still based on a B cup, thus necessitating a FBA?
Does anyone know if there is a general rule at Burda about this?

Many thanks

Karen

Hello, I’ve only just discovered the forums and i saw your question. I hope it’s not too late for an answer. I’m pretty sure that the cup size does not increase out of proportion to the overall measurements. So on a plus size pattern although the bust measurement may be larger so are the top arm, neck and everything else larger. If you have a larger than average cup size there’s no escaping an FBA! Although a B cup is very small, is that really what ready made clothes and patterns are drafted for. No wonder they don’t fit!

Hope I’ve been some help, Penny
