So – I have some nice cotton jersey in both black and brown and I’m really admiring those long a-line skirt/dresses I’m seeing in the stores this season. I’d like to make one but I don’t have a lot of experience with working with jersey.
For more clarity on what I’m looking for – I saw one in Express this weekend that was very long – ankle length – with a fold over waistband.
I’ve also seen several in TJ Maxx that can either be worn as a skirt with the waist folded over or can have the waist pulled up as a sort of tube top to turn the thing into a dress.I have a nice A-line pattern that I think I can modify at the waist but It is for a woven fabric and I’m not certain that it will translate well to a knit. Any suggestions or advice?
Thanks!
