Purchased a pattern from Burda, but don’t understand the layout. Should the material be folded or single to cut the pattern. I want to make this skirt so bad for my grandaughter but don’t know how much material I will need to use. The pattern layout does not say. Has anyone out there come across this problem and maybe have some answers?
Would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
Thanks,
Joyce

It should give you all the info somewhere on the pattern or instructions but you’d have to tell us which pattern it is if not :-)

There should be a cutting layout at the front of the instructions – as for the material requirements and type: Sometimes they don’t put that in the instructions, it’s very inconsistent but you can usually find it on the pattern purchase page – For example: http://www.burdastyle.com/pattern_store/patterns/chiffon-dress-112012 for this pattern it is on the right hand column, see?
