I have just downloaded my first Burda pattern, cut it out and am ready to sew. The directions include numbers in parentheses after each step, as though they correspond with step by step illustrations but none are to be found in either the pattern download or directions. It’s for the v neck little black dress pattern from 7/2011. Thanks for any help that can be offered.

I think those numbers in brackets are the seam numbers – have a look at your pattern pieces, you might see numbers in the corners – Some pattern brands number seams, other use letters, it helps attach pieces the right way around (like sleeves) :)
