does any one have an idea how to copy this?
It’s put up as a pattern but only the technical drawings are attached….
I’m thinking just a rectangular tunic with those sleeves attached and then elastic on the sides? But I can’t figure out the sleeves, nor am I sure the waist would be properly cinched if the main pieces were just rectangular….
Any thoughts?

Does kind of look like a tunic, it does have a zipper and might be a pleat in the back.

The sides look like they were removed an re-sewn to insert sleeves.

They remind me of flutter sleeves that are layered and elongated.

With a very very very open mind and keeping the layered sleeves in mind and lighter weight fabric, check this one out.

With modifications It also reminds me of this:

    Hoping others have more suggestions.

Hm, I’m not sure about that pattern. It looks like a clear breach of copy-right to me, it’s a Burdastyle pattern uploaded by a member as the members own pattern, which is not allowed as far as I know.

It’s great when members upload THEIR OWN patterns, but not when they upload other creator’s patterns, imho. Even if it’s done with the best intentions (a photograph of the pattern as help for other members who want to try to recreate it is another matter).

Your right I noticed after I read the PDF it had comments with Burdastyle and 2009 date,

Just went back and reviewed, after you posted your above comments.

Not familiar with person who posted PDF it does appear copyrighted?
This was at bottom of page:

      Anleitung Shirt 1/burda Modemagazin 2009

Is this the same as person who created or posted the PDF for magazine??

It is clearly a Burdastyle pattern…It’s bizarre how the European Burdas have different free patterns that the English Burda…Either way taking credit for it is not right, unless somewhere in the Romanian text it’s credited to Burda. Either way, I’m going to give it a go, I suppose I could just add the elastic on the side midriff? Although I normally ignore instructions in patterns, I wish there were some basic guidelines or steps I could follow! Thanks Patti-r! You’re always quick to respond!

The instructions are in german :-). If it’s the original pdf and not a scanned one (it looks like an original) it’s possible to copy the text. Try google translate.

This is written on the pattern piece page 6 above the copyright mark by VA Burda etc Google this :

Schnitt Mod.1 Shirt burda Modemagazin 2009

Opens to same as link posted above:

Can not get the PDF to translate or find the original pattern, will not copy and paste PDF to do a search.

It looks like a T-Shirt remake with added pattern.

Hm, I tried to copying and translating the text on the “print pattern at home”-pdf in google translate and got the following. Some words are still in German, but it’s comprehensible. And it’s def. a Burda pattern. It happens quite a lot, that memebrs try t help other members (I guess) by uploading copyrighted patterns like this.
      Here goes:

      “Size 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46 Rückwärtige for approximately 66 cm
      You will need:
Elastic Jersey, 140 cm width: 0.90 m for all the greats. Chiffon, 140 cm width: 1.70 m. Nähgarn. Twin needle.
Recommended fabric: Elastic Jersey. Only bi-elastic Jersey process. For the chiffon ruffles.
Paper cut in DIN A 4 expression:
The pattern pieces are printed on 18 sheets with a thin frame. Wait until all the leaves are printed. Arrange the paper so, how they belong together (see extra sheet with the clarity of printed pages). Cut out the individual leaf in each case from the top and right edges along the thin line border, be-jinns you glue all the lower left hand and then the parts of the pattern pieces.
Looking after your Schnittgröße Burda size chart: dresses, jackets and jacket after the bust, skirt and pants after Hüftweite.
Others you if information they need, the paper-cut to the inch, to the extent of your chart, Burda deviate.
Cut out the pattern pieces in your Large.
In Part 2 the various Ansatzli-note lines for the right and left wheel. The way outlined in Part 3 valance Parts II and III Trace as extra parts from the cut.
      Cutting layout
      Elastic Jersey, 140 cm wide”

Thanks Ichiogirl & Patti-R you guys are quick! too bad the translation isn’t for constructing the actual garmet though..,I figure just add the ruffles on looks like a seam line on the pattern. I’ll probably also make a round neckline like the one posted rather than A-symmetrical one in the pattern…

      You’re welcome :-).
But you know, I just translated the first paragraph to see if it worked, I’m sure the instructions about the ruffles are there in the text (they ARE). It’s really easy to translate, just highlight the text you want to translate, press ctrl+c, open google translate, put the cursor in the text box and type ctrl+v. You probably know that already, I just wrote it in case.
I’m not making this dress/top so I didn’t bother to translate all of it (it was a bit tricky to copy the text in the sense that the cursor jumps in the text, but it’s very do-able, it’ll just take a little time to arrange the text right).
      Good luck!
