Burda Style For people who sew
So, I’ve been looking for a dress to wear to an event and I found this chiffon one I really like, however it’s really expensive and I have no clue how to drape this kind of center-twist-ish bodice. If any of yall have any advise, that would be greatly appreciated!

http://butterick.mccall.com/b4789-products-6088.php?page_id=424 i guess this sort of pattern would show how to get the twist effect and you could adapt it (depending on your sewing level of course) as to the draping bit, it’s prob best to have a tailors dummy and to pin the fabric on there how you want it then fix the fabric pleats/ drapes etc with stitches. http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/a-novices-guide-to-draping this link might help and this one http://www.burdastyle.com/techniques/add-draping-to-a-common-pattern
Plus, if you type draping in the search box of this site and scroll through the discussions, there’s about 30 of them that have some query to do with draping and i bet you’d get some useful advice fromsome of the responses to them
