Hi there,
I am pretty new to sewing with a 1950’s machine. I was stupid and put the needle in backwards. Now the needle won’t move up and down. I can’t even move it with the wheel. I have taken the needle and bobbin out. Have I broken my machine forever?

Help me I am a bozo.

If possible try and remove the actual bobbin holder from the bottom. Then it may " release " itself. You say though that you have got the needle out ? May have knocked the timing out as a consequence ?
