Hi everybody, I am a beginner sewist and I was wondering what fabric should be used to line a dress made in silk?
I plan to make the Dress with gathered rectangle skirt and cap sleeves #101, and the material I have is a flowy silk sateen (navy blue with white polka dots).
I was thinking I should at least line the bodice, but I am at a loss about what fabric should I use.
Can anyone help me? Thank you so much!!

Living in Texas and loving silk , which can be hot in the summer, I line with a cotton bamboo muslin blend.

I would line it with the same fabric as the self. Then you know that it will flow, look and feel the same and not look different underneath.

I would also use the cotton bamboo, seems the best option for your skin. You can of course use a regular cotton instead, but bamboo helps your skin breathe better.
