Maybe I’m reading it wrong but I wanted to see what the correct amount of yards of fabric I need for this jacket?

Having read the details it seems to be that of 53" (possibly 60" ) wide fabric( U.K.) requires between 2 and a half TO 2 and five eighths yards – , it is difficult to do fractions on computer printing !!

So about 3 yards would do it?

That should be ample – if still in doubt – on a cutting out board ( or large table ) measure out "pretend " folded fabric and lay out pattern pieces – then measure how far you’ve got ! But just over 3yds or mtrs will make a knee length coat.
