I’m planning on making my own prom dress, and have seen a really nice bustier dress pattern that I would then adapt to give a fuller skirt. However, I’m not sure if I would be able to realistically make the dress as I have never used boning etc! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you xxx

That is the pattern that Gertie uses in her Craftsy course “Sew Retro: Bombshell Dress”. She goes right through how to make it and tells you what you need. Here is the link:http://www.craftsy.com/class/Sew-Retro-Perfect-Fit-Bombshell-Dress/29

Not too difficult if you are no too busty. Anyone larger than a D cup is going to have fitting issues. They won’t be insurmountable, but extra care will be needed, and probably better boning!
