Hi. I need pattern drafting advice. I have a pattern with a slightly lowered round neckline. I want to raise it to be a high jewel neckline, in order to add a high neckline collar.
How do I achieve this? Tutorials? Step-by-step guides?
Thank you.

Trace off the pattern pieces with the neckline as it is onto a large sheet of paper. MARK IN THE SEAM LINE on your tracing…

FROM THE MARKED SEAM LINE measure how much higher you need the neckline from where it is now, at center back, side seam, and center front. Mark on the pattern pieces you have traced.

Now mark in 2 or 3 points between CF and shoulder and shoulder and CB.

Join the dots in a neat curve. This is you new SEAM LINE.

Add the seam allowances. Cut out your new pattern pieces. Check that the new neckline fits you, and adjust it if it doesn’t.
