My daughter needs a costume for next weekend and she wants me to make it. She would like something similar to this dress here
If the bodice is too hard I would be okay with just a way to make the skirt and we could pair it with a leotard we embellish.
I have limited sewing skills so talk to me like I am a 4 year old ;) In my limited ability looking at this it looks to me like their are some folds or gussets or maybe they are darts? in the back that make the small train drape. But like I said limited skills so not sure if I know what I am talking about ;)
If you know of a similar pattern that would be great too so I don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
Thanks in advance,

Simplicity has a pattern for mermaid costumes. It isn’t quite as nice looking as the one at Amazon, but it might do. http://www.simplicity.com/p-2083-costumes.aspx
