Hi all
Just wondering if anybody has made this dress yet?
http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/07-2010-dress-with-front-scarf
I have a gorgeous jersey fabric that I would like to use to make this dress but while the technical drawing appears to picture an A-line skirt, the dress on the model appears quite clingy. I’m not sure if this is just a result of the material that has been used to construct the dress.
I’m somewhat pear shaped, so the shape of the dress is quite important if I want it to look decent. I know I should make a muslin, but I don’t have a lot of access to cheap jersey fabric. I can re-draft the skirt pattern but just want to be sure it’s necessary first.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks
Josey

I haven’t made it but I think it’s the pose and the wind. It looks to me like the fullness is been pulled up between her legs.

Thanks, I thought that might be the case but it’s so hard to tell from this shot. I’m so wary of relying on technical drawings.
