I’m trying to find a base to put on a handbag I want it to be removable so the bag can be washed. I don’t want to use cardboard. So does anyone know what I can use. Please!!!!!!!!! halep

Plastic canvas works. also some plastic or foam sheeting. You can buy foam sheeting in craft stores. Plastic sheeting is very difficult to find for some reason. It would be really useful. Often I wlll cut up something like a plastic box from salad packaging or a detergent bottle.

Had to make a bag for my daughter for a wedding. She waited until hours before she needed it to tell me!!! Of course I had nothing to stiffen the bottom of the bag. Took a quick look and used some heavy cardboard and enclosed it in a used mailing envelope that was made of Tyvek. Instant waterproof purse base! She loved the bag.
