I am going to use a Burda Pattern for the first time in my life. I am accustomed to drafting my own patterns. Do I have to fit a muslin before I cut my fabric?

If this is your first ever Burda project then making it out of a cheaper fabric would be a good idea until you get the feel for their sizing. you can learn what changes you need to make for your body and if you cut the wrong size at least you have not wasted some expensive fabric. I find Burda sizing nice and consistent so once you have made a couple of things you can be confident with which size to cut ;)
